Synopsis: A show-business family runs into trouble when they meet up with a beautiful hat-check girl (Marilyn) with ambitions of her own.
The first movie Marilyn made after her marriage to Joe DiMaggio, There's No Business Like Show Business was a musical extravaganza, a tribute to Irving Berlin. Joe DiMaggion wasn't impressed with Marilyn's skimpy costumes, however, and refused to pose for pictures with her on one of his rare visits to the set.

Marilyn stars in three specialty numbers amusingly, as she does a comic burlesque of the sexy singer of naughty songs ~New York Daily News
When it comes to spreading talent, Miss Gaynor has the jump on Miss Monroe, whose wriggling and squirming to Heat Wave and Lazy are embarassing to behold. ~New York Times
